Names
I remember growing up, Ivan and I used to talk about how many people we thought had our name...and were both pretty sure he his was pretty unique. So I did a check to see how many Ivan Curtis' there are in the United States..and guess what, Ivan...you're not alone -- 32 -- who would have thought!

More wedding pictures
These wedding pictures are so beautiful -- I fetched them off of Amy's blog (Heidi's BF). I couldn't get the code to show them, so just click the link to see the slideshow.

Heidi's Bridal Shower...
The big day is getting closer - and Heid's bridal shower was just one step closer to the reality of it all. We had a great time - and it was so fun to meet so many members of Heidi's side of the family. The shower was at Heidi's friend, Teresa's house and I was asked to be in charge of the games.... here are a few pics.
This is Shaylene (Mignon's daughter) being the model for a tolite paper wedding dress. The lady in the red shirt is Heid's mom.
More pictures of the wedding dress creations. We had about 4 models and Heidi had to pick the dress she liked best.
No, this isn't the only game we played, but the most fun to take pictures of. This is my cute neice, Becca.
And of course we can't forget the guest of honor with all of her loot.

Hair Growth
Those Mitchells are so darn cute. They've done a terrific job making many short movies - and they've even motivated my own kids to make some of their own, but this particular one really makes Aunt Teresa smile.

Curtis Camp out
Ok so we all enjoy a little mud once in a while but these guys take it to a whole new level…Samuel and Ammon started with just a toe then a foot, before long well just look what happened…
Then bigger kids got in…
This picture will probably come back to haunt her one day…I’m thinking at her engagement party?
The top was up on the boat because we had a little rain but nobody seemed to mind.

Bryce's Birthday
I've been meaning to post of picture of Bryce on his birthday, but I procrastinate. So here it is. I made him an icecream cake -- yes, you can be impressed, but don't -- because it was super easy. And next year, Heidi, this will become your job. :)

The date for the wedding ( as i know it)
Hi all,
Heidi and I are going to get sealed in the Mesa Temple on 7th of August. The ring exchange is going to be at 6:30 at the Regale Gardens in Mesa. The reception will follow that. We are going to have a open house at Kristi Sewell house in West Jordan ( i think).
I hope this help and will be seeing you soon.

Heidi's BLING!
Bryce and Heidi stopped by last night, so I snapped a few pictures of her engagement ring. My camera's not the best at these kind of close-ups and the flash bouncing off that rock didn't help either, but this was the best I could do. The ring is gorgeous...you did good, Bryce.

Wedding Cakes...
Heidi & Bryce, I don't want to take away from the beautiful proposal, but I felt I needed to get my 2 cents in for wedding cakes ideas. I was eating my Krispy Kreme donut today and realized what a great wedding cake it would make. Actually, I like both of these. Whatta ya think?
Everyone loves Krispy Kreme (yep, especially me).
Ooooh...and you wouldn't even have to freeze the top layer for your first anniversary, just put it back in the cupboard and it would probably taste the same -- may even keep until your 50th..who knows.

Attention Esteemed Colleagues
To whom it may concern,
Please be advised that as of 8:15 pm on Friday May, 9th, Mr. Bryce Curtis has been officially classified as in "off the market" status.
On said night, Mr. Curtis performed a remarkable feat in his endeavor to woo a Miss Heidi Goodwin. Please find the narration of the events detailed below:
"It was a shameless atmosphere of singing and dancing at the Desert Ridge - Marriott Resort in Scottsdale Arizona. The evening dragged on. Bryce slowly became tormented with emotions of anxiety. Hesitantly, Bryce approached the microphone. The spotlight nearly blinded him. He began to sweat. His pulse raced. Karaoke is not his strongest talent!
The music begins. It is Elvis Presley's, "I can't help falling in love with you" (a classic). Bryce begins to sing. From somewhere inside him, his voice finds strength and begins to serenade the young lady in the front row. Each line of words is more full with meaning than ever before. The song begins to carry more and more meaning. Tears stream from the eyes of the young lady as the song comes to a close and she realizes even more strongly that she is definitely in love with this man.
The music begins to fade and the lights come up slightly. Surprisingly, Bryce does not descend the stairs. Is he terrified of the "angry mob" of listeners throughout the ballroom? No. He softly returns to the microphone and says the following, "Heidi Goodwin, I can't help but fall in love with you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"
Half stumbling, half running up the stairs and onto the stage, Heidi approached Bryce in front of the hundreds of onlookers. He took her into his arms and she exclaimed, "yes"! The ballroom erupted into applause.
What a magical night."
Thank you for your time.
Signed,
The future Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Curtis

Katie's Travel Stops
I'm sure everyone knows Katie's on a cruise with Glen and his children for a couple of weeks. She says postcards take about a month to receive, so she's been e-mailing me while on the ship and updates me to where she is and where she's been.
On 5/9 Katie says "We have been to three ports in the last few days first one in Soloveia (Koper), then we hit Croatia (Split and Dubonick) and now we are headed back to Italy. The last few ports are very old european cities that go back 2000 yrs. They are so beautiful...almost mid-evil looking with stone walkways and old stone buildings and very clean. Next stop is Bari Italy and then we sail for a day and I get to enjoy the ship (spa, library, pool).
Sounds like a great trip! And yes, Katie, we're all very jealous!
